I posted this on RS where they're all salivating at the mouth, but you can clearly see it's looks completely different.
(And contrary to what someone implied on RS, the lighting situation/exposure is very similar).

Judging by the comparsion the state of the original prop must be ultra poor, a latex prop from 1983 I can't see it performing any well in 2020. That's the natural decay of latex, I've seen it a lot before, the material decompose itself, most of the old latex stuff from movies are cringeworthy for that reason. Latex is good for a few years, is not mean to last.
I was in a Lucasfilm archives expo and there was everything but the rancor, they brought the resin maquette concept instead of the prop itself, that says it all.
For that price they should have tried to sculpt one like Sideshow or Gentle Giant did instead of duplicating a likely decomposed prop that nowhere resembles it's original former glory.
