Your total figures seem different to mine….
I paid an initial $380 USD deposit and then the remaining balance which was $1898 USD (this included the remaining balance $1519 USD and shipping which was $379 USD.
So in total for me including shipping, it’s about $3140 Oz … add tax to this, it’s gonna be higher then Sugo…
Did you get charged less?

I paid the initial deposit of $380 and then had 4 more payments of $380 then this final payment of $379.48. Total paid is $2,279.48 or around $3032 AUD.

Edit - Sorry, I left out the $380 deposit in my other post.

Sorry guys, way too early.
Either way, the JND page says preparing for shipping.

You have to be careful when calculating your custom charges.

Note it also depends what they and/or Australian customs apply whatever custom item number against it. Most of the time I’m hit with an addition 5% customs duty on top of the 10% GST, but not always.

If they correctly value your parcel, places like DHL will calculate it as follows:

(AUD Item value)*5% custom duty PLUS (AUD Item value plus Shipping cost plus previously calculated 5% custom charge if any)*10% GST PLUS admin and handling charges (DHL has charged me as high as $110 AUD on top, and I think it has gone up since my last import).

So there’s a chance I may have scored this for a lower end cost from Sugo. I preordered this for $3,180 AUD and will receive $80 in rewards, which nets to $3,100 AUD.

If you live in Australia, based on your figures the worst case scenario is as follows:

(Using the Registrars exchange rate dated 22/6)

Custom charges @5% *(1,899.00/0.7499) = $126.62

GST @10% *(($1,899 + $379)/0.7499 + 126.62) = $316.44

Courier Handling charged approximately $110 AUD.

As such total Custom bill comes out to $553.06 AUD.

So total is about $3,590.80 AUD (depending on FOREX and IF custom duties applies).

Great thanks- that gives me a rough idea of what to expect.
I missed our ordering from Sugo- otherwise would have done so, as it sounds like it has worked out much cheaper that way.

Don't feel too bad. Sugo were a little slow off the mark to list this on their website (unlike JND's Harley Quinn where they totally jumped the gun - even before JND made the official announcement). There were issues with payments on JND's website and FOMO became a real thing. Interestingly, Sugo also upped the price to AUD$3,299.99 https://sugotoys.com.au/product/jnd-...er-woman-1984/
Plus I think I heard/read somewhere that JND are shipping their direct orders before distributors get theirs.
At the end of the day though, I'd have preferred to have gone through Sugo. Not to save money, but to support local retailers.

Like Popcultcha, Sugo has a tendency of offering early preorder discounts for the first month or so of a new item going up.

Though I’ve seen a few items here and there not revert to a higher price, most do. I was sitting on the P1 Darkseid, but a few days ago as noted on that specific date on their website it’s now gone up by $200.
