it's a UK act of law when people have bought something that ends up not as described..which I think fits this statue...said in jest of course.

Ironically, it's the GOD that has the better ETD hair.

But yeah the skin tone looks better in this distance shot.
Overall looks better in this but then I go and have a look at the proto again and think nope.

I agree, dude. I don't think any different pics are gonna bring this anywhere near the prototype. The pants still look flat. The lacerations on his abdomen are too far apart. Everything still looks the same regardless of how the pic was taken. Even from that distance shot of both of them, you can see that more love went into the GoD statue.

I've already made up my mind that I'm not getting this. What you see is what you get, and it's not proto quality. Great and/or high-res pics aren't gonna change that for me. Like I said before, if any collector wants a good ETD Lee statue then get this one, but if I were them, I'd definitely wait for the price to come down alot. Because it will.

The thing is, if you are going to show a proto like that you really need to deliver on it since it just sets everyones' expectations so high and it's not like you can just un-see it and then accept the final version when it really looks nothing like what was promised.

Yeah, I almost wish they would've just shown a screenshot of him on film and said that "Our statue will be the definitive Bruce Lee from him on screen shown here." Instead, I've had the image of that awesome prototype burned into my brain for months and that's what I assumed was coming. How could I not assume that? It's Blitzway for crying out loud.

You have to feel for Arnie too.
He has sculpted this amazing piece, a definitive representation and it has got lost badly in translation from proto to production. I'm sure he is used to that happening. But you wonder how he feels on the final outcome of this particular bit of work.

Reminds me of what Enterbay did with the GOD BTS shoulders.

We all wanted that prototype! You'd expect for a higher price that Blitzway would deliver.

Do you think he will try for another 1/3 Bruce Lee statue? Maybe something from WOTD or BB or FOF.

I don't know mate, ETD is the iconic look for me so I wanted that proto.

Another compare I knocked up.
Even the head tilt seems a bit different.
I don't think any amount of studio lighting will transform this back closer to the proto. It just looks like a different statue.

Wow, damn I wish that we had a law like that in the USA!

That pic makes it look a lot better, but darn those abdomen lacerations are far too wide.

Still have my order in but fluttering a lot...

Really? Statues drop in value after their release?
