How did the light get to the back of his legs and lower back where the cape hid it but wasn't actually touching it? It's a mystery.

In fairness, even fully sculpted and painted statues fade if exposed to direct sunlight or UV rays over time.

I duuno but fluorescent lights can destroy pigments in less than 2 days including back edges. I speak from store owning experience.

Man that sucks. It's always a shame to see these things weather. Specially when you do your part to care for it. Not to thread hijack, but what type of lighting should you or do you use to illuminate your displays?

If you use fluorescent, you have nbdy to blame but urself.

Fabrics are a ----- to upkeep, more fragile to moisture direct sunlight/uv. Even washing it out doesn't do squat.

In his defense i didnt know fluorescent lights were damaging either, luckily ive never had any near any of my statues. thanks to this thread now we all know this is something to look out for
