Oh, and there's a tendency for collectors to focus on the short term, i.e. 2-3 years, when in reality, PCS is in it for the long term.
At this point, I'm not going to count on Capcom to stick to SFIII as absolute canon. They made a mistake going so far into the future. I doubt they'd let III (especially costume design) restrict themselves or dictate what they're doing from this point forward. Use it as a guide, sure, but I'd be surprised if there aren't more changes/retcons.
I don't have a problem with that. *cough* Gouken *cough*

SF3 is absolutely canon. And they've confirmed that SFV will finally connect SF2 & SF4 to SF3. It will happen with this game.
The only thing that needs to be kept in mind is that SF3 predates Alternative costumes. So the one WE SAW Ken wearing was his classic. Best choice if only one is available.
SF4 had tons of costumes. Doesn't mean Cowboy Ken is canon.
SFV has classic costumes as well. So anything goes on clothes.
Just because Ken wears Red in SF3 doesn't mean the story is non coherent or in anyway destroyed.
Now if his son was like 20 in one game, then a new born in the next I'd be like wtf? But it's just his attire.

I really hope Chun Li is next. I haven't been happy with any Chun Li statue that has come out over the years.

Yeah, no one has really nailed her face. Immediately thought of her when Jerry started talking about using the in-game models. Unfortunately, I'd expect to see one or two statues of her in the other lines before getting the MM revisit, and I just want the MM. A 1:3 though...

This is great news from jerry.
A new gief standing tall would be awesome and a new classic ken, with a possible violent ken as an alt would be badass?!
I'm still holding out for a mm sf4 evil ryu. I remember jerry mentioning there may be an evil ryu in the ultra line.
If at all possible could we get a few statues in southpaw stance instead of orthodox, it would be great to have the option to face off statues?!

I'm thrilled to hear a new Zangief is coming. But I have to say that I really hope it's not this.

It's a cool muscular pose and all, but his left knee is practically touching the ground.
This could be a second chance for a 1/4 Zangief! Presuming it's not 1/6
So I'm really hoping if he's 1/4 he's standing tall like the skyscraper that he is!
The original 1/4 is a beautiful work of art. But he's squatting so deeply, if you placed a chair under his butt he'd be sitting down.
Think Shao Kahn! Tall and Beastly! Using the SF5 model would be spectacular!
