d rod was my example today...
So as you all know I'm teaching HS, special ed. YEs, they are all little sh$#heads. But anyway,
This one cuban punk was telling me how he is doomed to a life of drugs and crime simply because he is cuban and it is in his blood.
I was like BS man, my hermano Danny (aka DROD) shares that blood and he's never done anything like that, and in fact has made quite a success of himself as a businessman.
Yeah, the little bastard could care less and probably will not graduate, but it at least shut him up and got him thinking, for a second at least.
So yeah, Sam Wilson, breaking stereotypes and whatnot. All in a days work yo. (special shout out to danny aka d rod for the extra help with that...)

yeah, what I forgot to mention was some young peurto rican punk was convinced he had no future but a life of graphitti art and stealing hubcaps. I would've told him to have hope, but after meeting coca, ck13 and j. storm I'm not so sure now...

Hey Sam--go forth and disprove all stereotypes. Tell that kid that you know someone who's ethnic Chinese but sucks at math so there's ONE empty slot in this world for yet another accountant if he's interested...
I'm living proof that I'm not doomed to a life of balancing P & L's.

I'm 1/4 cuban and I find that type of remark very hurtful and coming from a Cuban it's a double blow
