Hog is a mill term.
Just like you guys wouldn't know what a jitney or a crummy is around here.
Here's a couple of examples of how far in the sticks I am.
Yesterday on the way to work, there was a tractor (farm equipment) parked on main street in front of a tavern.
A couple of years ago a logging truck hit a tractor on the road just a mile or so from the house.
Oh, one more. Shawna got me a chain saw a couple of years ago for an Anniversary present.
BTW, a "hog" grinds up wood debris.
