I don't but I should probably get one. The latest CA fire is only a few miles away from me.

Thanks. I'm one city over so it's far enough away that I'm not too worried. Hopefully the winds calm down today and no new fires start up and they can get the existing ones under control.

I've heard that storing art in safes is supposed to be not good for art. if you do do that you should do a quick google on what else to do when storing paper in a safe.

best of luck with the fire - hopefully you are not impacted!!

Yeah, it's really sad.

Regarding a storage safe, I did a bunch of research on them and then decided to not put my art portfolios in a safe. If you get a true fire resistive one, the materials that are used to keep it resistive for an hour or more hold some kind of moisture in them. When the safe is locked, it doesn't allow the paper to breathe, and the moisture in the materials can actually mess up the art. In the end, I decided I wasn't going to pay a lot of money to protect my end and inadvertantly end up messing it up in the process.
