You aren't lying! I started this hobby at 32 I'm 45 now and still waiting on Sideshow to get around doing a Omega Red & Mr Sinister.

Like Black Cat said when I think of X-Men I don't think of Nightcrawler until somewhere at the very end. Still have my comics from when I was 12 years old, but I haven't read a comic since I was 15 years old. He's obscure enough that this is his first PF and almost 12 years since the Comiquette was released. Until this day I've never understood why they even made the Comiquette line...LOL! But that's for another thread.

As for Colossus you probably could say the same which is why there was so many years between PFs, but the Deadpool movies made him a bit more visible in the general public eye than before.
My exact reason for calling him obscure.

I would say a general guideline for obscurity in today?s world would be ?Have they crossed the medium into new forms of entertainment??

1. Colossus - yes in multiple movies
2. Nightcrawler- yes in multiple movies
3. Psylocke - debatable. She has been in multiple films, but most were not in major roles.
4. Taskmaster - yes, based on his black widow appearance, as well as being in both Marvel Avengers and Spider-man games. (These games I include because they are “blockbuster” titles)

It really is all debatable.

You?re completely wrong. I?m talking about on a broader level. I worked at a job years ago with over 100 employees and most couldn?t recognize Wolverine with a mask on when someone used it as one of our desktop backgrounds, and I?ve known several people who had no clue who the Flash was, so I?m definitely not disillusioned by comic reader knowledge vs common people knowledge. Just like Iron Man wasn?t hugely popular before 2008.

But Nightcrawler would be recognizable by anybody who?s seen X2, one of the most popular movies in the franchise, a few of the later movies, he?s in almost every cartoon outside of the anime, he?s in the majority of video games, many toys, etc. I?m thinking that type of exposure, not just for comic readers.

I?m not saying he?s on the same level as even Gambit, because he?s not to me. And definitely not the level of Storm or Rogue. And he?s far from Wolverine. But obscure is too extreme. Pixie and Longshot are obscure.

with the revival of XMEN TAS on Disney plus coming hopefully Sideshow will decide to make a Jubilee since she's one of the main characters.

Same. For me she?s essential mainly because she?s Blue Team but also because of the cartoon. I find the only people who care about Jubilee at all are those of us who 1st became familiar with X-Men through that cartoon.

And going back to Nightcrawler, his original voice actor from the Animated Series was one of the cast reveals for X-Men ?97. So presumably Nightcrawler will be in season one, unsure if guest appearing or joining the team but either way it?ll be great to see him in cartoon action again.

Ahhh one of the few times I was jealous of Megadrive owners. I had a Super Nes so I never got a chance to play this. Looked freakin good!
