My favorite westerns from his later years are Rio Bravo, The Sons Of Katie Elder, The War Wagon and especially El Dorado... Duke, James Caan and Robert Mitchum together... priceless...

Westerns SUCK for the most part
they always depicted the "injuns" as horrible people who molested the white women and raped them, were savages, when in fact it was the white man who would go and rape the native woman, totally pissed out of his head.
White man would go and pillage the native american's crops, con them out of their land and goods and shoot them for no reason.
Native americans were/are one of the best races on this planet, learning to live and respect off just the land.
I have never understood why America celebrates Columbus Day - it's such a slap in the face to Native Americans

This is VERY weird.
And I MEAN NO disrespect the the memory of a great actor. And not that being ____ is disrespectfull. But saying something about someone that's not true is.
That being said.
Someone just told me about an hour ago. That there is a book that claims
JW was g@y.
This is the FIRST time i've ever heard this. Agin. If it's NOT true my apologies.
And if he was,good for him.
Anyone else hear this. They didn't know the name of the book...........

"You can't change history", but you can whine about it. We won, they lost, same goes for every country on this rock. The ones with the bigger & better weapons win. Someday, the Native Americans will make a comeback and invade Scotland. Oh, and,John Wayne was BI, like every other actor/actress in Hollyweird. It's all about the $$$$$$$. Who cares, not me.
