Zbrush newbie advice, tips, books to recommend.

alcortez, have you tried Sculptris? It's free! And housed under Pixologic as well and it's GREAT for a beginner http://www.pixologic.com/sculptris/

Zbrush can be... well... overwhelming at times, and that's without some technical issues

Yup 4 is correct, and if they do release the 64 bit version then, I'll cry happy tears of joy. Also going by their track record, it'll be a free point upgrade.
