Thumbs up Batman: Mask of the Phantasm on Blu-ray this year (2017)

Street date: 2017-07-25

Both widescreen and open-matte transfers
DTS-HD MA 2.0 audio
English subtitles

The Blu-ray will include the theatrical trailer.

There's hope yet for other Batman TAS stuff!

Believe it or not, it's one of the only animated DC movies I haven't seen.

When's the blu-ray come out?

Should be soon, either late summer or early fall.

For sure will pick it up. One could argue that this has been the only true Batman film to be on the big screen. It did suffer from animation issues, occasional distraction of dust popping up here and there. I wonder if they will clean it up?

They'll want the 2k master to be usable by TV stations and streaming services for a long time, so it should be pretty clean but hopefully still film-like in appearance.
