The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Those PAX and BESTA shelves seem to easily / quickly hit or exceed their weight limit...at least they did for me.

So now I am going this route. Already have the shelves and now trying to decide on how I want to do the "sleeves", technically and in look.

basically starting atthe 3:15 mark

I am looking to do something like that over these

Extreme weight limit.
In theory...basically collapse-able and move-able.

Quick pics of setup so far. Some recent pieces not pictured.
Pics are more for backup than showing off.

reread my posts from page 1 and the DIY I posted. Installing metal brackets along the front and rear of each shelf significantly strengthens the shelves. I've got >60 lbs on a few shelves for over a year without any issues.

The metal shelves you posted are definitely stronger overall, but IMO they don't look as nice. But to each their own

LOL! that is an issue

My IA Hulkbuster won't fit either, the arms are too long.

Everybody does sadly as you have to pay PB hundreds of dollars now to share your images. Ditch it asap and move to another image hosting site. I recommend Imgur, but ohers are available.

Love my pax but such a pain getting the acrylic doors together. They also let quite a bit of dust in. I wish Ikea would make glassvik/tombo doors for it. I’ve got a workshop, I might give Permagrin’s solution a go next time at bat.

It's too bad Ikea does not have door options for the PAX. I am not confidant I could get doors for it even with all the excellent instructions. Still better than just having them sit on top of Detolfs and such though.
