I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I thought the film was poor, and the trilogy doesn't feel like a trilogy at all.

wow, here is some concept art from Colin Treverrow's version of Episode 9, I can't help but wonder if this would have been the better version, looked like it had more heart and more care went into planning it

https://movieweb.com/star-wars-9-con...x5rVxDWwB1b_vg

some highlights:
-Force ghost Luke blocking Kylo's Saber by grabbing it with his hand (this might have been a bit iffy with the force ghost interacting with physical things)
-Kylo Ren fighting Vader (probably some kind of vision type thing)
-Rey (with double bladed saber which she probably should have had considering her skill with a staff) fighting Kylo Ren
-Rey in a cool black costume (like ROTJ Luke) taking out stormtroopers
-Leia delivers a message to BB-8 in a scene that looks like her and R2 in ANH
-Final battle is on coruscant
-Hux commits suicide with a lightsaber on Coruscant after it is retaken by the resistance
-C3P0 comforts a damaged R2D2
-a new pretty cool looking planet

Wow. This film just came and went. There's so little buzz about this flick.

Overall it was a crap trilogy, easily forgotten... I doubt many people will watch it again even at home...

I have a feeling that’s the way Disney wants it. They’re probably ready to move on as well.

For me, at best, it didn't prove itself a necessary continuation. At worst, it detracted from what came before. Taken as an ennealogy, I find the last three movies to be terribly inconsistent in tone and direction compared to the first six. They simply don't jibe well with them.

I was entertained by VII and IX - at the time - but the sequel trilogy is not part of my head-canon. I don't care to own them. The more I think about them, the worse they play out.

Disney can spend billions to buy the right to undo/retcon/cancel previous(ly embraced) material. Consumers can do the same for themselves, without spending a dime.

As much fun as these ideas and script might sound if they are truly what Mr. Trevorrow was working towards then to me it is blindingly obvious why Kathleen Kennedy fired him and tried as best she could to stay true to what George Lucas loved and most of all to the heart and soul of Star Wars.

These all look pretty rad too.
