To think the cost of this was once a PF? Yikes!

If you are really interested in some great Avenger statues and want to avoid the Sideshow premium, then you guys really should check out the Kotobukiya stuff and others. Even after markup STILL cheaper than Sideshow. Start with the Sideshow prices and go check out what else is out there in this size and detail.

They are modeled after the Avengerd Assemble Comicbook Characters and are pretty accurate.
I get it but the HX Iron Man is just not appealing to me at all, so I'm glad I can pair HX Thor with SS Iron Man.

They are nice, I own a lot of koto stuff, bishoujo, fine art, artfx and artfx plus, two of my favorite statues are 1/6th Wonder Woman and supergirl. However some people are sticklers and will only buy Polystone or Resin statues and for some reason refuse to buy PVC or plastic.

The 3rd Red Sonja is pretty much twice the price a few years apart, she isn't double the size or intricacy.

I think the reason why some people do not buy PVC or plastic is because, its not long lived. Whatever plastic they use, it become sort of sticky.

I have PVC, and I have yet to encounter this. I guess time will tell.

I'm hoping from the time I started to collect they have improved on this, but like I said, time will tell

They also can look a little chintzy. I like my DST Marvel pieces for instance. They show pretty well on the shelf, if you don't look too close...

Has SS ever said their will be a wave 2 for this set?
