Been really enjoying this season, but my god, episodes 8 & 9 were incredible, the show really fires on all cylinders here. Genevieve O'Reilly (Mon Mothma) is fantastic.

Yeah, there's no reason why we can't get this level of writing with force wielders in the mix. I'm not saying it has to be as adult-toned and serious and Andor, but Star Wars could use more of this prestige drama treatment, a show that feels more at home on HBO than Disney+. It shows how versatile the property can be and what a wonderful sandbox Star Wars is, with so many different kinds of stories to tell in this rich galaxy Lucas created.

A Jedi or two coming in could be like those armed forces dramas when a stranger pops up who nobody knows and nobody really knows why they are there, and there's something a bit mythical about them, and then they pull out a 50 cal. sniper rifle with specialist ammo and you all know that ----'s about to get real.

Andor is a masterpiece and what SW should be. Genevieve O'Reilly as Mon Mothma is a masterclass in acting and performance, her display of emotion is unmatched. Costume designs were impeccable as well.
This is not to overshadow others as every actor was superb but I have to say as so many of the comments everywhere have before me, I never thought that the 'white dress lady' would be one of my favorite characters in Star Wars.
Even the short scene where she dropped her cloak was so meaningful as the blue is traditionally the color of the Senate, and dropping the blue cloak symbolizes her vacating her Senate seat,
and it also gets her outfit to match with Rebels in the episode set right after during her escape from Coruscant. Just perfection.
Everything about this show screams Emmy. I can't help but reminisce how the sequel trilogy would look like with this treatment and care, such unbelievable shame.
Andor Creator Tony Gilroy plans to step away to take a break from Star Wars after season 2 and although there are more stories here to tell i would rather have just this, then to see it sink, it's such a perfect show.

Hopefully it's just a break for Tony Gilroy and not a permanent vacation from Star Wars...regardless, there are other writers/showrunners capable of this as well. I wouldn't mind a Craig Mazin (Chernobyl, Last Of Us) Star Wars series.
Oh, and Mon's hair stylist deserves some credit too...way too often I found myself admiring how well that style fits her

I didn't realize Andor would be finshed on Tuesday. That was quick. I will binge watch it then. I heard there's some surprise sex in it.

I'm halfway through season 2, so I have many important points to make. The show has been kind of boring, but seems to be heating up with episode 6. Not much happens so far.
An Imperial Officer tries to have sex with Bix. He saw how she was covered in sweat and grease, and he couldn't resist himself. Lust leads to the dark side. The internet was making it seem like this was some huge deal. But it’s not graphic or anything. She just punches him and wacks him upside the head with stuff. Not sure why an Imperial officer would mate with a filthy rebel. Imagine the offspring. Gross. While this was going down, a couple of kids got married for some reason. The reception party song was a bop.
Did anyone else notice how creepy the aliens look in this show? And all the rebels are depressed or on drugs. Hard not to side with the Empire. They are always neat and clean, and have the latest tech.
Oh, and there's a place called Ghorman where they speak french, and a bunch of protesters got squished for blocking traffic. If that wasn't bad enough, they have big spiders. If there ever was a planet to use the Death Star on...
