I don't know what they are doing with her costume. When they cast Scarlett, I thought it was because she didn't have that much of a problem with the nudity. Now it seems to be this odd compromise with a suit / armor type skin.
The statue really doesn't look that good. I can't believe they are selling it with those images, mainly the facial sculpt, if that is a prototype. And at that price.

There is room for improvement, but i like it. And there can never be enough of Scarlett Johansson in my collection. So I preordered one, of course.
The price was also good for today's conditions (about 400 EUR) - only slightly more than a half compared to the import of a Sideshow EX.

Less round more of a squint would have worked better for the Weta statue eyes.
Weta got SJ's lips spot on.

On the official Weta website they list a book: THE ART OF GHOST IN THE SHELL,
..although there is no mention of the two statues?

Seems odd not to list the two statues. Only a few online stores list the two statues complete with afew low quality images.

And unlike other Weta products, none of the images have the Weta watermark. It may be possible that these were movie development maquettes and not final products for sale. I do how something better is offered for Motoko that has a decent face sculpt and matching the final look of th movie.

Can you elaborate more?
