Master of Dark Shadows

A documentary coming out this Spring diving deep into the popular and still resonant to many (such as me) 1960’s TV show, Dark Shadows, about Barnabas Collins, the reluctant but still bloodthirsty vampire who was the show’s protagonist!

I’m so stoked for this!!

I never saw the 60s version of the show but I did watch the 1991 remake tv series. I actually liked the 91' version.

I of course hated the movie.

I remember the 1960's series very well and watched it all the time as a kid from the first episode. It's amazing to watch it now and see how limited they were with the sets and budget, but how well they did with this show anyway. A classic to be sure...

Well put. I was mesmerized by this show in the ‘60s and rewatched it later with my kids. Like Jaws, the special effects were crude. But, also like Uaws, the storytelling was riveting and the moments of horror were genuinely frightening. Wonderful character development, too.
