Where are you from? I want the SSC version but refuse to order direct...

That is interesting. Yea, wait and see. Hopefully the distributor comes through. If he does, then he/she found a way around that exclusivity.

Indonesia. the thing is the distributors here often order direct from sideshow on our behalf (with a decent mark up of course).

I think it's a mistake not to have a colour variant. 2 in and there's already inconsistency. Maybe they felt too restricted with colour choice given she's wearing leaves. But there are other shades of green, autumn shades etc...
Igo said they would only do variants if they made sense. I can't think of a Tinkerbell variant that would.

Exactly.

The only "variant" I could think of is with her hair -- one would have this long pixie bob. the other would have her classic cartoon bun.

Thank God, we don't need variants. We need the line to be a success so they do more characters. We need them to use their time to work on new characters rather than wasting time trying to come up with variant ideas.

I'm personally not a fan of Tink having a Collector edition. I think it should just be the one edition with the metal art print.

I agree, if variants don't make sense, don't have one. I think exclusives are just an incentive for people to buy direct. That doesn't bug me. I like the small art displays.

The Little Mermaid variant was good because it provided an option further separated from Disney's Ariel. I'll admit Tinker Bell is a lot trickier to think of other colours for but not impossible. There's also the drawback of having the name Tinker Bell and not simply being The Little Fairy. It makes it harder to escape the idea of blond hair and green dress.

One viable option would've been to keep the blond hair but give her golden coloured leaves. There's even a glimpse of it on the art print.

I thought of that as well. She could have Fall colored leaves, browns and yellows. But again I'm glad they didn't go that route as it makes collecting the line easier.

I have a feeling this line is going to be very successful.
