Another Halloween Trade Tip - I mentioned this book before in the SF last trade section, but I feel it's worth another mention in October. A few of you may recall the Skywald' Horror Magazine thread I devoted a Halloween Horror Comics Thread to. I love 1970's B&W mag. Horror & feel the genre did some amazing things in that decade. Skywald, Curtis, Warren, & last-but-not-least, Major Publications, Web Of Horror! It ran only 3 issues (w/ a 4th never published as a mag.) & was creator owned. I compare these 70's b&w mags with much of the horror cinema that was being produced during the 70's. The two expressions seemed to really play off one another. Hammer, UA, & much of the European film horror feeling very much like these 70's horror magazine. Web of Horror was a very short lived masterpiece with creators such as Wrightson, Jones, Kaluta, Wolfman, & more, just beginning their careers. The 3 published issues + the never before published 4th issue have all been collected in this trade. A fantastic, hardly ever seen collection of a cool, underground Horror masterpiece. Still available -

Hope it's not getting boring. Let me know if it is. Just have a few more days. Honestly, guys. I've been doing this a long time & have covered everything I can think of. 2 years of specific creatures, Skywald, Creepy & Eerie, Horror hosts, 50's thru 70's. B&W, color, pure covers, artists, defunct publishers, envelope pushers, themes, now pulps. Tons of tips & point-outs. Not sure if I have anything left for next October.
