Finished it & loved it. Man, I hope it gets a 2nd season. Very strong reboot while still paying a lot of homage to the original, much like BSG. Dr. Smith & Gaius Balter have much in common. Great final episode. I will definitely come back if there's more.

Loving Lost in Space. I agree with your rating, 8.5/10. I was a fan of the original as a kid...loved it so much. I own the whole series on blu ray and it's so hokey that it's embarrassing, but it brings back some memories and makes me laugh. This new series has been great so far! I'm on the 5th episode...

I had watched the series RT previously, but I finished a rewatch binge of Westworld Season 1 before the premier of Season 2. Easily a 9/10.

Given the 1 episode of Season 2, I'm questioning if the show can keep it's magic.

The first few episodes in season one was a bit slow also as it setup everything, I imagine the first few episodes of season 2 will be the same before it takes off...

Why has hokey become bad? I love hokey. I have the original pilot for Lost In Space on DVD & it was quite thrilling. The 1st season was played as a more serious sci-fi show before I. Allen decided to play it more for kids. Still, even the later episodes had their place. Who can ever forget -

I thought the whole of season 1, except the last episode, was very slow.
It was too late for me at that point.

Westworld is one of those series that works better as a binge watch.

Agreed. I haven’t started S2 yet but based on S1 each episode individually isn't engaging enough to keep the attention of some casual viewers.

Started watching The Americans S1 this week. Great show!
We binged watched through for the first 10 episodes.

I wasn't sure if I'd like Keri Russell but she is darn good in this too.

9/10 so far.

Oh, I still watch it. Like I mentioned, I have the whole original Lost in Space series on blu ray.

And, hokey is not bad per se, it's just not as engaging for me as it was when I was a kid. When I re-watched some of the original Lost in Space episodes, I laughed out loud for example when Dr. Smith started screaming and running from a guy dressed in a carrot suit. As a kid, I loved it. As an adult, it's more about the nostalgia of childhood memories.

And I do remember this episode with the green lady floating around the Jupiter 2 while they were flying through space...
