But Sideshow didn't paint any of those statues. Therein lies the rub.

Yeah seriously, all these guys are losing it over how beautiful the proto is. So was the proto for Rogue and Catwoman and the first Poison Ivy and the first Red Sonja and then remember the terrible production pieces we ended up with... good luck with the paint job Sideshow. If XM and GG can get good painters why cant Sideshow? Beautiful lies is right.

Yep, SS sculpts are usually pretty awesome, their weak spot is the factory paint applications that seem to ruin a lot of their stuff.

I don't have any of those statues and all I know is the ones I have gotten have came looking great.

That prototype is beautiful! So what? Why do you care what others think. People might not end up buying it but we can sure appreciate how amazing that looks, wheter we get something that looks like that or not.

A lot of us are going to roll the dice on this exclusive. The key is for Sideshow to pull this off at the factory. I hope they understand how high profile this piece is. Delay it 8 months if you have to.

ssc will realise now this has been well received on the boards but is it as big a money spinner as bats/supes as regard to making a large ES?

That's the other thing: if they see dollar signs and do a huge ES then the QC might suffer.

QC will probably depend on how well the first Red Sonja sold. If they were happy with the profits then they'll have no reason to up their game for the production piece of this one.

Though I do see that the Regular Edition is still available so hopefully that inspires them to put in the extra effort to make this one match the proto.
