If it did, it would have went a little like this....
Some strobing lights of Godzilla's dorsal fin, a glow in his mouth.... lots and lots of turtle soup.

It'll probably show up in the Blu ray set. Like Lucas did with the ROTJ lost scene.

Just ran across this today while looking for something else. It is as we remember it and stated as fact but of course it is a website, albeit a pretty thorough source for all things Indy

well there you have it.
thanks TNovak
"In the theatrical version of Raiders of the Lost Ark with Indiana Jones, an additional scene takes place immediately after the credits roll. The camera cuts back to Ark of the Covenant in the wooden crate inside the government warehouse where we last left it. In this scene, the Army intelligence stencil on the crate is slowly burned away by the power of the Ark. This scene was cut from the DVD release of the film."

I'm old enough to actually have seen the theatrical version numerous times in 1981 and often waited until the lights came up to leave, saw it at different theaters, later the re-release.
DVDs of course did not exist at the beginning of home video. So saying it was "cut" from the DVD release is not meaningful.
Lots of blips and blubs get put into fan sites for content. I'm still extremely skeptical.
