Instead of coming out with monthly issues just do a whole graphic novel like they did with Earth one. I stopped buying single issues along time ago and just go for the graphic novels. The single issue are just too much to keep up with especially with those prices.

The only thing IDW is publishing is the Action books which are aimed at younger kids like 7-12. I somehow doubt they'll let the main Marvel universe or anything that effects their larger audience go to IDW.
As far as single issues, that I agree has been slowly dying.

The only reason Misney hasn’t farmed their comics out yet is they haven’t found the right publisher to take it. Printed Comics are a dead
Industry. Probably see another more permanent crash in prices.
I own a few DC Direct pieces and enjoy them, even though I’m not a regular buyer.

I don't think you're giving the Mouse enough credit. They won't let something they can control and use out of their house. The main comics will stay, maybe not in single issue format, but I think as long as they can use them for other media they will.

Wonder if DC will continue licensing their characters to the likes of Sideshow/XM/Prime etc. Can't be that much money in the licensing for these statues without DC Direct.

It's crazy times right now!
Hate seeing DC Comics and DCU take such a hard hit. I'm mostly Marvel, but I do like DC as well.

I am confused. Without DC Direct making things directly, you'd think licensing would be even MORE important.

Since it seems like DC commissions like thousands of copies of each statue and mini bust they produce I don’t know how far up in value they will go. Now there are some that can come in high price but I don’t know if there are any that have been produced within the past say 3 to 5 years if they are up in a high price range or not.

Most of their statues have an edition size of between 3k and 5k
