Mine started to decay after about 1 month. The dome was cracking and the rubber on the arms was just decinigrating. I got a replacement from Sideshow but I haven't opened it yet. You would think that Hot Toys would have learn their leason after the first ED-209. I would advise everyone to open theirs up and inspect it.

Well all that is just swell, and this is so awesome a product too.
I looked at the arm rubber and I do see a little something going on, not bad yet but I could see it probably will be. Also they seem to not bounce back after being compressed in one position for a long time. Just have to keep an eye on it, but I suspect that the only real solution is going to be aftermarket parts. Someone needs to make a mold of that dome and cast a replacement part. I"m good with replacing my own stuff if they can give me parts.

If i had the money to spare i'd certainly buy the HT Robocop, i am a huge fan of the original movie and still own to my collection the 10 years old Mcfarlage figure, which was top notch

I did my second very thorough inspection of the two Ed's that bought. Both have been sealed in their original boxes, so I believe the rubber oxidation has been minimal. Right now, there is no cracking that I can see, but there are dry spots around the edges of the dome, and in the recesses of the joints that weren't there when I originally received and inspected these. I assume that this is the beginning of the unfortunate process.

I've read Aerospace 303 protectant can help.
I had some on hand to detail my car and applied it liberally to all rubber parts. Fingers crossed.

I got ED-209 in May and pre-ordered Robocop with chair. I'm going to order the battle damaged Robocop then I will switch the heads. I'll put Peter Weller face on non-damaged figure and sit on chair.
