Come on, you guys know the number 1 rule of statue collecting. The person with the worst photography skills always gets the statue in hand first.

Yeah that seems to be a requirement to get statues first. You'll definitely be the first on the block to get a statue if you have BOTH a crappy camera AND no photo skills whatsoever!

They changed the sculpt on the head. He's really wide-eyed compared to the prototype.

Bigger question, what is up with Sideshow and eyes? It seems like the only company I’ve dealt with that has the most issues when it comes to eyeballs.

Someone on facebook posted proto vs production paint shots and there's a notable difference.
A bummer - and easy money saved. This was one of my fav pieces from last years NYCC in person but I'm not spending 820+ shipping for this.

I've always wondered this. It goes way far back to the Rogue days. Still happening (see the Mark Brooks Gwen).

That picture is supposed to be the updated production piece. However, I can't figure out if it's the angle of the picture or if they really did significantly alter the head sculpt. There's definitely a dip in terms of quality of paint app, but I will be severely disappointed if they altered the sculpt. Needless to say, I'll find out tomorrow as that's when mine is set to arrive.

I just remembered that I saw a production piece in San Diego. My thoughts at the time were that the wet affect done so well on the proto was not quite as good on the production piece, but was 90% there. Otherwise, it matched the proto.

Maybe a few flukes in the production. Need to see more pics, same with Orko.
Not making excuses for the human portraits but this is Swamp Thing. How in the world do you screw up eyes on Swamp Thing? Two yellow or red slits, boom call it a day. That picture looks like he has clam tongues hanging out of his sockets.
