Prime 1 DBZ Goku statue

This is a dream come true. This is a day 1 PO for me. I don't love the base, but like many have said it's not enough to keep me from buying the statue. It sounds like it will likely be reworked before release anyway. Very excited to have this in my collection!

Does anyone know what it means when Prime 1 does a collaboration like this? How much is megahouse actually contributing to making the statue?

Figurama’s doing Kenshin, not sure yet in what style. Probably not a lot of other companies going to touch the license because of the author controversy. Figurama says he wont be seeing profits from this.

Jesus in 1/4 scale is perfect. I already love the Tsume statues.
(Now still please someone grab the DOA licence, then I'm broke).

Looks like they took any ordinary banpresto figure and just blew it up in size. Detail isn't great and the effects look cheap imo.

If this is really 1/4 then I'd much rather wait on Infinity Studio's Majin Vegeta vs Goku diorama

Late to the game on this piece. It's exciting to hear about P1 having the DBZ license, but I'm not feeling this piece either.

I think Goku looks great, but the effect pieces and gaudy base makes this look tacky.

Theyre changing the base. Not sure what else you could use for effect pieces, they look like what theyre supposed to

How are they changing the base?

I hope that just means the Shenlong wrapped around the base and not the actual flooring Goku is perched upon.

That's great news! As for effects, I generally prefer statues without them. I'd rather have more environmental effects with DBZ statues to power ups.

I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum to you, a big swirl of grey and brown for the base doesn't represent DBZ for me at all and just aesthetically i don't think it works at all.

I really hope Prime 1 aren't making drastic changes. The point of this statue is that it looks like the anime and the manga and i applaud them for that.

If people want something more toned down, textured and realistic there's always Tsume.
