A conclusion is simply the place where you got tired of thinking.

That does really look nice. I wish I had the funds for it. I would really like to get it if I could afford it. Unfortunately C.S. Moore FB Fathom, SS Ken Pf EX and a whole bunch of other stuff are right around the corner.

That is pretty nice but it looks like they just glued those pieces from that DVD set on a base and sculpted something around them...

The piece does look nice. Though I have to admit I immediately thought the same regarding the DVD bookends.

I have to admit I thought the same thing at first, but they wouldn't really do that would they?

Actually it's the reverse, so to speak. This is the original piece and the DVD pieces were taken from this sculpt.
Since Weta has gone back into the Lotr Enviros, fans asked for the original and they obliged.

Thanks Eleventy1, you're exactly right.

This is the original sculpture of The Argonath, created before the DVD bookends. It was never released for sale, but it has appeared in LOTR exhibitions over the years, so many hard core LOTR collectors are very familiar with it.

We did not intend to launch this piece. However when we secured a new LOTR license in July, we received many, many requests from collectors to release it (and a few other unreleased environments) for sale. You can see various threads and voting panels on the LOTR environments in the Shadow and Flame forum : http://www.wetacollectors.com/forum/...splay.php?f=68

So we really have launched this in response to requests from our collectors.

Also, the DVD bookends were modified slightly from this original sculpture to fit in the DVD box.

We hope you like it

Cheers

Tim
