Need a little help with touching up......Please?

Hello painters.

I am hoping you can help me with a little problem. I have a Bowen Dr. Doom statue and although it’s in mint condition there is a small fleck of paint which seems to have chipped off the hood. It’s relatively small but I would like to try and touch it up.

If anyone can help that would be great, with my main worry being colour matching and getting the right type of paint. I would appreciate any suggestions or if you think it should simply be left alone.

Thank you.

me personally id leave it alone..

you would have to sand that down to get it flat before painting as well...

i dont think you can see it if youre looking at it straight on correct?

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Its not as noticable from straight on but I usually display Doom at an angle and it catches my eye in certain lighting conditions.

But if your saying I would have to sand the area down, I wouldn't take that risk and would probably just leave it.

turn to a different angle! lol

i mean you dont "have" to sand it but to get it perfect IMO you would have to...im sure a more experienced painter might jump in and give some better advice but me personally would just leave it...matching factory paint is a pain in the a$$

i have a yellow daredevil here i have to touch up and im cringing!

lol! different angle it is then!

Matching factory paint was one of my main concerns too. I trust your judgement, your experienced enough!

I had thoughts that I might be able to just dab a bit of paint onto it and it'll be done! (lol! can you imagine how the Doom bust will turn out! )

I guess i'll just leave it, unless I ever become confident enough to do a proper job of it.

boondocksaint speaks with great wisdom mate...it could become messier to try to fix such a small imperfection. The final overall job could not be a fine match.
