What about the decades of stories before New 52? Not cannon?

Not that I really care, as I enjoy all that history for what it is, my history of DC reading. Just curious.

They weren't cannon at new 52 but some of the history returned and added on new 52 with the Rebirth but i don't know how much of it returned. I think no one knows for sure... The purpose of the Rebirth was to bring back the history and legacy aspects of the DCU.

Right, I’m aware of that. Like when Barry miraculously recognized Wally. I know Rebirth essentially backpedalled on the mistakes of New 52, giving fans back the legacy of their characters that they were missing and causing their sales problems. I just wasn’t sure how much they’ve delivered against that promise, aside from references to Broken Bat and Death of Superman. As with New 52, I picked up a bunch of DC books after Rebirth only to drop them due to poor writing (same is true of Marvel, though I’m seeing what’s happening with Legacy). Only reading Superman now, whereas I was only left with Batman on New 52 after finally dropping Wonder Woman and I, Vampire’s being canceled.

Just wondering, thanks.

I don't know how much they delivered cause i haven't read a single Rebirth book yet... I'm in the middle of my new 52 Batman. What i know about Rebirth is just from comics news sites.
