I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Star Wars EpV (1980) ~ 5/5

II and III are next. Followed by VI. Ignoring I. Trying this 'Machete' order for the films

Terminator Genysis 7/10
Terminator Genysis is great! The first half is definitely the best and it gets a little over the top close to the end but a worthy addition to the franchise. Not a perfect film but totally entertaining and different enough from the originals but not a T3 rehash/ripoff

Agreed Matches. I saw it today and throughly enjoyed it. It hit all the marks of a good Terminator film for me. I also like how it paid homage to T1 and T2. I think the film is getting a fair amount of unwarranted hate from jaded critics and fans alike which is unfortunate. I'd give it 7.5/10.

Wow! I must admit to my surprise at the way higher marks than I expected for Terminator. I'm very happy to read it tho. Def gonna have to give it a whirl. Glad you enjoyed it, Vipes and Malone!

The only thing with casting Headley in the role is that it would have diminished the surrogate father storyline/theme somewhat with an older actress.

Terminator: Genysis - 7/10

A lot of fun. Trying to make sens of the time line is mind boggling - but since the franchise was built on a huge contradiction is best not to think about it.

One Crazy Summer - 8/10

Absolute fun - hard to imagine that John Cusack hated these films

Terminator Genysis: 5/10 - Was considering giving it a 4/10 but I've got a soft spot for Arnie, so bumped it up a point. Unfortunately, I just didn't think the story was any good, and neither was most of the dialogue.

TBH, it didn't really feel much like a Terminator movie to me. It was more like something M. Night Shyamalan or the Wachowski Brothers would make if they were given a shot at the franchise.

So Arnie, be honest now. Is it a good movie ?

Agreed. The whole "Pops" storyline wouldn't be as believable imo.

I think it's definetly worth a look, brother. It seems to be a very polarizing film though. You either really like it or hate it. I am not quite sure what the viewers that hated it were expecting though. Terminator films have never been high brow entertainment with deep story lines and all of them have had plot holes due to the time travel element. This new one resonated with me much more than T3 or Salvation did so I would rank it third in the series behind T1 and T2.
