Received mine today. Some small(ish) issues with it:
- small chip/crack/breakage (dunno what to call it) in the chest area
- his right foot does not sit flush on the base
- minor paint issues, mainly visible on the suit
The "chip" is not that bad, because it's not really visible. He kinda has a crouched stance, and there's always a shadow in that area.
The foot issue is kinda worse, there's a pretty big gap there, I don't know how this passed QC.
Pleasant surprises:
- I had the same issues with the hands not fitting, but with some patience and a lot of care I made it work; that "gas-gun" has flexible handles, so if you're careful you should be good to go. I'm lucky I read the comments here before my assembly
- Portrait and "gas-gun" are really-really good in my opinion. For me, they're the selling point of the statue. Also, that gas tank is really nicely done, I can swear there's actual gas inside.
+a small bonus: they "f-ed" up the assembly manual. The "mini-bio" the put there belongs to Mistique
All in all, I'm happy with the end product but I'm a bit worried about that leg not sitting flush on the base ... would you recommend contacting XM Support, or?!? (any ideas are most welcome)
Moving forward ... I'm heavily invested in this line (shelf-space is a premium in my case), but I'm a bit disappointed on some QC slip-ups from XM's end. They just need to pay more attention it's not like they mass-produce these things. There's a pretty lengthy production time-frame, enough to make everything spot-on!
I'm sorry for the poor quality of the photos, I can't work a camera if my life depended on it + the lighting in my apartment is god awful!
