crazy base on the DE for this thing, and $675 isn't a terrible price either.

This ain't the Super Mario World Yoshi, with the longer neck, darker green color. Mario looks like the generic post-64 version. Easy pass.

They did a great job on this but I feel like the Reg should be $450. like the EX is $525 and considering you get a big base and the Yoshi egg is pretty sizeable clearly it's more than $25 difference from the Reg at $499.

The DE and EX are fairly priced in my view but the Reg is a little overpriced.

That's because they want you to order the EX and for $25 extra why wouldn't you?

The reg means nothing to them, all that matters is how many EX and DE they sell, that's what makes the money and lets the line continue.

Those complaining it's not based on SMW....if you look at the rest of the line, this was never going to be based on SMW.

They haven't done anything with regards to the older games before so why start now? This was always a continuation of their Mario line....

I just think it's people who played games as a kid who no longer play games thinking, "oh yeah Yoshi like SMW".....like Yoshi hasn't been in any games since lol.

I dont think Nintendo will let them do nostalgia pieces. People have been wanting more Ocarina of Time pieces on facebook but it all seems to be a no go. In general it seems like most license holders don’t want to visit older versions of their characters when those licenses are still active. If you want a SMW piece you might be waiting a long time. Especially considering this piece took Nintendo 4 years to sign off on.

Got the exclusive edition as I intend to sell the egg if it ends up being worth the effort.

I really like the definitive version, but the bulk of that base... man, it's huge. It would be an insta purchase if the middle bit could come out and display without all the extra stuff if needed.

Now I have to think about which version I want.
