Speaking of Gremlins 2, I'm hoping someone can answer this. I recently discovered EEC and I'm wondering why they have items from sequels and not the originals. Freddy 3, Jason 6, Gremlins 2...why not just do the originals? It it because those rights are locked up elsewhere? To me, the originals are where it's at for such high priced items. Thanks for any info!

I think it's because Steve Wang directly worked on Gremlins 2 as one of the creature creators so I suspect it was easier for him to get the license for the sequel, a lot of the pieces from ECC are from films that Steve directly worked on, Blade, Guyver, Underworld, MIB
If you look at his film bio you will probably see hints at what future pieces ECC will be making.

I don't believe he worked on MIB. Besides AVPR, I don't think he's worked on any films I'd be interested in that they haven't gotten the license for yet......

According to this bio page he was the Conceptual Creature Designer on Men in Black working for Rick Baker - http://homepages.domicilium.com/loga...rs/g-swang.HTM
I think there's a good chance we'll see some Beetlejuice stuff from ECC and also Evil Dead 2, possibly the Monster Squad as well but I think that would be a hard sell, the merman design was pretty sweet though.
PumpkinHead, American Werewolf in London would be the dream licenses for me.
