The New Kids on the Block
So who have Marvel introduced in the last ten years or so, and are they any good?
Characters and titles that come to my mind include the Exiles, Young Avengers, Runaways, Arana, X-23, (newest) White Tiger and Sentry.
What is ironic, is that the majority of these "new" characters are largely derivative of previously established characters.

Young Avengers and Runaways are both pretty good.
Exiles has its ups and downs.
I can stomach X-23 and Sentry isn't worth the paper he's printed on.

I really like the Young Avengers. There some creative stuff there. And Im with you on the Runaways. I would like to know more about their origins.
X-23, its too soon to tell. From what Ive seen so far, she's really undeveloped...maybe I havent read enough of her. Right now, she appears to just be a Wolvie knockoff, and created just to make a buck or two.

You've hit on most of my favorite mags with this topic! I love X-23, New X-Men, Runaways, the Young Avengers and Spider-Girl. I normally have a natural negative reaction to second-gen-type characters. But the characterization, story-telling and art have hooked me in every case.
I just received the second HC edition of Young Avengers, and it rocked. I love the way they brought the Vision back! There is an inevitable storyline there considering the revived Vision's brain patterns are based on Iron Kid (the young Kang) and not Wonder Man. And I love the origins of Wiccan, Speed and Hulkling in the way they're linked to Vision, Wanda and Captain Marvel.
Oh, and on Runaways: I love Bruiser especially. The idea that a 12-year-old girl would get sleepy if she used her super-human strength too much is hilarious.
One thing I haven't gotten used to is the idea that Spider-Man, Wolverine and Spider-Woman are Avengers now. That just doesn't seem right, but then again, I haven't read the series.
