Saint Omer (2022) - Follows Rama, a novelist who attends the trial of Laurence Coly at the Saint-Omer Criminal Court to use her story to write a modern-day adaptation of the ancient myth of Medea, but things don't go as expected.
It's a little slow at first with most of the first half told as courtroom testimony. When the connection between the writer and the trial is revealed midway is when the film picks up and it ends with a powerful message. 7.5/10

Next are a pair of Cronenberg films--one by Brandon and one by David. Both creepy.
Infinity Pool (2023) - James and Em Foster are enjoying an all-inclusive beach vacation in the fictional island of La Tolqa, when a fatal accident exposes the resort's perverse subculture of hedonistic tourism, reckless violence and surreal horrors.
Mia Goth carries this one over the finish line. I'm hoping the uncut version is made available for viewing somewhere. 8/10
Crimes of the Future (2022) - Humans adapt to a synthetic environment, with new transformations and mutations. With his partner Caprice, Saul Tenser, celebrity performance artist, publicly showcases the metamorphosis of his organs in avant-garde performances.
There's more depth here in dad David's movie than in son Brandon's, but the revelation at the end was a little anticlimactic. 7/10

Ant-Man Quantumania 7/10. That’s being generous..pretty good movie overall..but come on Marvel, CGI is horrible on
Modok..I get there is no good way to show him…but come on.! Looks like you just used one of the apps that brings your photos to life.

Ant-Man and Wasp: Quantumania - 3/10. I found very little to like about this movie. Way too derivative of everything in this genre.

Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania - 7.5/10
This felt more like a kid's Disney movie, but that was fine. We enjoyed it anyway. Lots of predictable beats though. Quite formulaic.

Ant-Man 3 was awful, not fun at all like previous ones.
Just a 3/10 for me. Loved the first two.
Modok and Kang were terrible. Who approved the idea of Modok and that CGI. Yikes.
Changed Janet’s story too…stupid.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania - (6.5/10)
Not bad, kind of underwhelmed. I felt like MODOK could've been creepy and menacing, but as is typical of the MCU they made him more silly and comedic. I do really enjoy Jonathan Majors as Kang, so he was a plus.

Lord of the Rings - Return of the King Extended Edition - 8.5/10 Have never seen the extended edition so I buckled in for a 4+ hour experience. Entertaining overall. Special effects still aren't too bad considering the age of the film.
