and yeah, a large portion of my statues are still in their boxes. i've already put them in clear plastics just to be on the safe side. there won't be any side effects on this right?

You may get mold if moisture builds up in the bag. I would include a desiccant like silica gel inside the bag to reduce humidity. Mothballs prevent uninvited guests from feeding on stored items.

On second thought, large plastic containers could also be used for statue storage against floods.

yeah, exactly. i fanned the box and let it dry out in the sun for about 24 hrs just to make sure that the box wasn't wet anymore.

all i'm worried about right now is how to paint back that base. i'm just not sure what kind of black paint BD used for it.
