My ebay auction just sold to a 0-feedback account made a month ago

Hello, I am just asking around a bit, because I stated that I don't accept bids from 0 feedback accounts, but that didn't stop him from bidding, and winning.

What can I do here? The person paid immediately, but I'm extremely uncomfortable with shipping it (particularly since it sold for over $950) , since I know sellers just get shafted on ebay.

What are my options? any tips would be helpful.

I'd cancel the auction and just say the buyer didn't adhere to your stipulations and relist it. No time for that nonsense.

Agreed - under NO circumstances ship this out. WAY too risky.

Either cancel or have the buyer pay via gift, take photos before shipping and ship with tracking. Sometimes folks come on and go on a buying tear trying to build up a collection, so it's possible they are in that category. But agree, you don't want to put up with any nonsense. Until you ship it out you are in the position of power except for possible negative feedback.

I would cancel it too or have him provide feedback from other sources. You might want to do an internet search of his real name. There are some Facebook groups that have lists of people to avoid.

Send the next bidder in line a second chance offer and hope he will take it. I would not risk it either unless the guy was local.

$950 no way. I wouldn't sell it. You told buyers not to bid with 0 feedback and they did it anyway. They are already breaking your auction rules. Who knows if they even completely read your auction. You can just inform them that you don't sell to people with 0 feedback and give them a refund. They will possibly post negative feedback for you. But you can have that removed.

Many here including myself have posted about how eBay is anti seller. And even if you seem to find a good buyer, you'll never know if they are bad because of the no buyer feedback. Add in the new long return policies and buyers misusing it. Makes eBay a very dangerous place to sell for the individual seller.

There was a fairly recent thread here about someone selling a statue and the buyer getting to return it after like a month or so. They returned it damaged and I believe they got away with it. Look up eBay buyer scams and you'll see tons of complaints with people saying eBay told them buyers can return bricks and still get their money back.

Thanks for the replies everyone,i'll cancel the item, refund the buyer's money, and see if I can second offer the second-highest bidder.
