Hmm...I have no idea. And I don't want to put it any further apart. I am going to assume there is one there...to make it easier for the parts of the base to line up and be placed consistently. But who knows...

Hi Dechirico7,
thank you for posting this incredible review.
I am sorry to hear about the crack and hope that you will receive a replacement soon.
I have thought about the CotD-line but simply do not have the space for it anymore.
I can see the appeal of this line though shining through your excellent review and hope
you will enjoy the statue of Gallevarbe for a long time to come.

Mine has the same crack on the same place. Seems that it's not a one-time problem... SS offered me a 60$ credit on a future purchase and a tip to use zap-a-gap for the issue. But I asked for a full replacement because I don't know of that crack affects the stability of the statue, even with the use of glue.

That appears to be a genuine crack clear across that area of the statue. I'd certainly request a replacement. While in the right hands, a repair/repaint may not be a huge deal, I'm generally surprised to hear SS asking clients to do the repairs themselves.
Overall, this looks like a nice expertly designed piece. Those into evil, death, doom and gloom and hopelessness, and torture worship with a dash of twisted sex appeal should really like this one.

Looool!
I'm not crazy about the dead children on this one...
Otherwise looks like a good zombie/vampire mermaid thingy.
Great review.

I will see what they offer me. This is obviously a common issue, so I might just return it. I would rather not deal with future structural issues.

If they tell me to use zap-a-gap I am going to rip them a new one.

Lol, it works for me, I can't stand kids. There are few exceptions.
Thanks B

Thanks Zep!
I wrote this one fast. So I am sure there are typos and thought fragments. But if I wait, I seem to get frustrated and the review gets pushed aside.
