Need some computer help!

Here is the deal. I just got an iPod and installed the software into my c drive. I put 222 songs into the itunes and it said I was running low on disc space. I was told that I probably have a partition in the drive? I was also told that I could drop and drag it from the c drive to the d drive. Problem is I don't have any idea how to do it. I am technologically challenged. Basically I'm just trying to avoid reinstalling the software and the putting the 222 songs back into itunes. Can any of you computer savy guys help me out? Thanks

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Well, when it says partitioned drive, that usually means you might have one actual hd but the computer thinks you have mutliple drives (partitions).

If you want to move all the songs from one drive to the other, go into the folder with all the songs then go to the Edit menu and choose: Select All. Then go to the Edit Menu again and choose: Cut.

Go to the D: drive which from what you're saying has enough room. Choose a folder you want to place all the songs then go to the Edit Menu and choose: Paste. once it's done, it will have moved all the songs from your C: Drive to the D: drive.

You'll most likely have to import all the songs again in iTunes since it will still think the songs are on the C: drive instead of the D: drive where they are now.

I talked to a friend of mine before I checked back for an answer and I went a different route than what was suggested but it all worked out in the end. Thanks for the advice anyway thecallahan! There is always someone here willing to help. So far I have about 3 gigs out of 60 used and that is like 800 songs. Thanks again!

The podcast feature is pretty good. I subscribe to a few including one that talks about the latest comic books.

That should be any day now. They are pretty expensive but if you have a boring job it helps pass the time.
