The comic creator guests for the Supanova April 2013 shows in Melbourne and the Gold Coast have just been announced and they include a wonderful line-up of incredible talent:
Dave Gibbons

Terry Dodson
Rachel Dodson
Gail Simone
Nicola Scott
Tom Taylor
Colin Wilson
Billy Tan (Gold Coast only)
I'm really looking forward to the April 2013 shows! Best,
Royd

Bravo indeed! I get a chance to erase my one disappointment from NYCC 2010. Supanova is gonna be hard to top.

Glad to see you guys like the April 2013 guest roster
Sometimes it all comes together and creators are available while other times there are so many competing shows in the US and elsewhere as well as work commitments that it's difficult to persuade them down here.

Wow, that's a great looking line up, love seeing a proper comic guest line-up down here.
How difficult is it going to be to get a piece from the Dodsons, is this one where I'll need to email them right away?

WOW! Aside from maybe Tony Moore and Jim Cheung at the same con earlier this year, that is the BEST line up I've seen at an Aussie con. And announced just two days after the Adelaide Supanova too!
Supanova are really dictating terms here!
Great work again Royd, you da man!
Speaking of Adelaide Supanova I just posted my modest art haul in that thread.
Halfthai - Did you end up going to the con at the weekend?

Sometimes it all comes together while other times the overseas creators have too many commitments (workload, other cons etc.) and are unable to travel to Oz for the shows here.
As for Terry Dodson, I'd recommend e-mailing him sooner rather than later. However, I don't know if he will use his usual method of jumping around the sketch list which he takes at the start of the show. I'll ask him what he intends and if he gets back to me, I'll let post his response here.

Hey Ryan,
It was great to see you at the Supanova Adelaide show mate, stick around for a chat next time if you see me stay in one spot for more than a few minutes
Glad you had a successful show and that you like the upcoming guests for April 2013! Best,
Royd

Well done Royd. I guess I'll be lugging my Watchmen Absolute edition around. Speaking of which, I should actually read it (I've read Watchmen of course, but haven't read this fancy pants edition yet).
I know I'm being greedy, but is Ryan Kelly a name that will ever appear on a Supanova bill?

That's a great edition! I was tempted to pick it up for the extras but couldn't justify the expense at the time.
I must admit that while I was vaguely aware of Ryan's name, I wasn't sure what he'd worked on until I "googled" him. He may appear on a Supanova "bill" someday but I'm afraid that a guest has to have a fairly high profile (and/or be a fave creator of the organiser ) to justify the expense of airfares, accommodation etc.
Hopefully we'll see Ryan here down the track a ways
