I'm just going to go ahead and say it, since it's just a trailer...

The Chernobyl Diaries or whatever looked.. entertaining, but there ARE people living in Chernobyl now; destitute people moved back into the ruins of the residential areas there, to some degree, years ago.... and yes, the radiation is slowly killing them/has killed quite a few of them already.

Great location (set or otherwise) for a film, though.. as it is basically an actual "haunted" city.

90% of the city is still how it was the day of the meltdown, unmade beds, schools looking like the kids are all out at recess, USSR sigils/literature and all.

My thoughts exactly. Three months is way too long.

War Horse - 7/10; watching the horses pull artillery was painful, regardless of how staged/etc it was.

And just to rub a little salt into the wound, we'll have to wait at least six months more than everyone else to get the DVD / BD release.

Thank the lord for multi-region players.

Off-topic a LITTLE, but Lou Ferrigno lives 20 minutes from here, and "just" did this interview.

I've seen him a couple of times at San Luis Obispo events; I told him about SF the last time, and how many Hulk fans reside here that love the guy.

Bridesmaids - ?/10.

I decided to check this out since Mondo did a poster for it plus it has Rose Byrne. Didn't know anything about it and assumed it was a chick flick comedy. I was wrong. The movie is extremely crude. It is very funny but I couldn't believe some of the dialog and scenes they included. Basically, nothing was off limits. It's so harsh at times that I would only recommend it to those who are curious. I can't believe this sort of movie is popular. But I guess there is a segment of women that go for this sort of thing.

The Losers - Lost/10.

I don't know if it was the comic material or the director but this movie is all over the place. It bounces between light and serious tone too many times. The main bad guy is so over the top it's unbelievable. It's not the actors fault either. They are all awesome. In the end, when the most memorable scene in an action movie is of Chris Evans singing a Journey song you know there are problems.

Cabin In The Woods-9/10

Holy Crap On A Stick!!! What did I just watch?? And I mean that in a good way!

This is one gigantic grab bag of awesomeness disguised as your run of the mill slasher film. And when I say "disguised" I'm talking about the cheapest disguise you could ever find, we're talking clearance rack at the $.99 Store. It very quickly becomes obvious that this is NOT your "run of the mill slasher film", what it actually is is not made entirely clear until late in the film, and even then your head will be spinning too much to care.

If you're a horror fan of any kind, there's something in this for you, heck.. there's even a unicorn!
