I think they look good. I do think I see what you're referring to though. It could be an illusion created by the gold boots. It doesn't look like they make direct contact with her thighs at the top of the boot. Or if they do touch they are a little thicker than the red portion of the suit.
This one looks really good though. Been a long time since I've been interested in a Marvel XM piece.

Now while the boots will be shiny, should the suit have a sheen or be more matte like the green Jean? I think matte.

Pose is awesome! but I don't love what XM has done with the suit, would have preferred a more classic costume without the extra piping and stitching shown here. Head sculpt looks very good, but I hope the phoenix has some shading for contrast, as of now it looks too mono-color IMO. Overall very solid render!
