Why GRay Matter ART don't have the success of Mondo or BottleNeck

I just ask myself if the two last release from Grey Matter Art , Anthony Petrie Rambo et Matt Ferguson Iron Man have been release by Mondo. Did they have been Sold Out.

I don't have a solution but I admire the problem.

Give it time. Mondo wasn't an overnight success either.

GMA is the only place I bought official screenposters in 2015 ,the rest are private commissions.

I don't understand it either. Grey Matter has some great posters. I'm new to these type of posters. But it doesn't make sense. People should be buying good art not just from their favorite gallery. But they are the ones losing out.

I think the better question is how the hell did Mondo get so popular in the first place.

They were one of the first games in town and the licenses helped their legitimacy. How they maintain their popularity is beyond me though.

First mover advantage is a concept that should explain some of that. Huge fan base so despite losing 10% here or there they restock and maintain. I haven't tried for a drop in over a year probably. Doubt they have skipped a beat w/o me.

The Mondo hype. I don't remember exactly when I found out about Mondo. I think it was around the Tyler Stout Star Wars time if not a little before. For the most part, I don't think the prints were selling then like they are now. At least I assume prints still sell out in less than a minute.

Anyway, once people heard Mondo + certain artists and multiple times resell (flipping) prices, that's what really made people take notice.

Those other galleries might have good artists but they don't have the Mondo combination. Even that recent Avengers 2 show, I don't think people were jumping about prints from that. It seemed to have little interest here. But if it was a Mondo Avengers show. Almost guaranteed sell out. Even if the prints sucked.
