Oh, I agree with Paul and wish the base was just black. Maybe glossy black. Shame we didn't get that version.
It would contrast the Rex much better and give it a more classy museum feel.

That should be easy to make if you want something different that is simpler, or maybe they would offer the option? I like both versions, there are pros and cons with either of them. On the dirt base, the color is a bit distracting due to the similarity of the body, however it looks a bit plain with just black too. Gloss might help, but then it would reflect the body and I don't know how that would look in person.

and the gloss scratches too. that dirt is an easy one to modify with a very dark wash.

Yes, that dirt base color is too similar and makes it distracting. Maybe they can darken it up since I doubt they will offer a plain black version.

Totally agreed, $2500 for this? No way! I was thinking at least $3000 and up and that was on the cheap side. I was actually thinking (and hoping)somewhere south of the $5000 dollar range, so not surprised. SOo ready to order this, people usually don't give a crap about my collection pay much attention to it, but this one will get their attention for sure. BTW PLEASE go with the dirt base, black base might look good with a model car but not this, don't want it to look like some prop in a studio.

It's funny that 1:3 Cinemaquettes sell for 2000-2500 for an under 3' statue.
The hulk was 4K and it's not near as large as the Rex.
Personally I don't care if we produce less than ten, the factory has agreed to produce what's ordered up to 100 pieces.

I pushed hard for the rex to be made so I am defiantly getting one Paul. Do you have any idea when it will be done? Still trying to figure out when I am coming down after some of my other pieces are done.

A few people have inquired about shipping.
If you are local pick up the cost is $4000.
That's a $500 savings overall.
It's extremely high to ship to the upper northwest and northeast. If you are 6-10 hours away you probably fall in the $500 range.
So local pick up is $4000 no exceptions.
Paul

Hulk was between $2800-$3100 (depending on when you ordered). I know because I have one.
