Cobra Kai (spoilers)
Just starting the second season and I have to say I am surprised at how much I am enjoying it.
I do have to say that Daniel is kind of a jerk. A lot of the problems are him just assuming Johnny is the same kid and not even having a conversation. And the fact that he knows Johnny and his son are having issues and he keeps training him instead of trying to get the to reconcile. not cool.

Yeah, but there is a lot of animosity from high school between those two, Johnny and his gang were bullies and beat Daniel up several times, so I get why that clouds his opinion of Johnny even though in his own way Johnny is trying to do better...

Love the show. Glad Netflix picked it up for season 3. I think the first two seasons are on Netflix now. I seem to remember reading they would be on there end of August timeframe.

i dunno man, do you forget Johnny handing Daniel his trophy and giving one of the most heartful moments in all of cinema? "you're alright Larusso, good match"

He only did that because his conscience got to him for cheating and I think it was short-lived, as they say a leopard never changes its spots... plus it was an 80's movie it had to have a happy ending... 
Even in the TV series he still has a bit of that bully mentality...

Right before Daniel did his crane kick Johnny got a warning for illegal contact to the knee so yeah he was cheating as the contact was on purpose to try and injury the leg even more than it was...
As for the kick to the face, In the earlier matches at least a dozen people got kicked in the face mostly by Cobra Kai members, and they all scored points for doing so, Hell Johnny even kicked Daniel in the face once, so I'm not sure why you would say that Daniels was illegal...
