Help with strong display
I'm trying to build my Bowen Asgardian display as the mock up - I'm about half way there so far. I'd like them all on a single shelf, with the idea being there'd be a couple of other shelves beneath. I've got about 1.2m width which I figure is just about wide enough. The problem is finding a glass cabinet strong enough to support this weight. A glazier I spoke to reckoned 10mm glass would do it, supported at each end and with a middle support at the rear. Does anyone have experience with anything like this? Much appreciated.

That's allotta weight...thick glass but I would strongly try to add more support in center...only rear center support is not enough imho

The more I think about it, the more I'm moving away from glass as I just don't think there's anything ready made that meets that span. I'm even thinking of constructing something in black wood, as the glass is only needed at the front. That way I know the shelf would be good for the weight.

Yeah, if you have the woodworking skills, custom is the best way to go to get the display you really want to fit your space. If you go that route I hope you take lots of pics of the process and share the journey with us!

Does it have to be glass?
If not I highly recommend the IKEA Lack shelves. Specifically the 74 3/4” model you’ll be able to get all them on one shelf.

I have a ton of these displaying my Statues. The most Bowens I have on one shelf 14 and it’s ROCK SOLID. it has a heavy steel frame that bolts to the wall (studs or anchors) and the wooden shelf slides right over it.
