Blood of Apocalypse question...
Hi there,
Has anyone read (X-Men: Blood of Apocalypse contains X-Men #182-187 and Cable & Deadpool #26-27)...???
Recently started reading comics, read the House of M TPB and Decimation TPB which was excellent however for after reading (Decimation: X-Men - contains The Day After and X-Men #177-181) I was left hanging...!!!
The last story lead to the X-Men: Blood of Apocalypse TPB.
My question is, if anyone have read this TPB. Does that story ends there..??
somewhat like a one-shot.
I'm only interested in collecting TPB mini ministries.
I hope it does, otherwise I would end up buying the next TPB to continue..which I do not intend to.
Thanks in advance...

well that story leaves everything a bit wide open. especially with the changes to sunfire, lorna, and gambit. you may be left without a lot of resolution.

Good god skip it man! It was awful! The writing was awful, none of the characters acted like the characters you know under Milligan's direction. The art was not up to par for Salvador Larocca. He was using a new approach to his art, using washes, and it just did not work. This is a storyline better left forgotten.

I actually liked it, but the last issue was weak.
Still, it had its moments.

Was it up there with your highly acclaimed "Savage Brothers"?? LOL
I thought this storyline was PILE!!! From the first issue where Apocalypse tells his henchman that just cause he's thousands of years old, he doesn't have to SMELL like it, LOL!!! I thought it was kind of cool how they turned Sunfire into AOA, but then at the end, he's back to normal boring Sunfire, GREAT!!!

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I thought this story was pretty good but I would have liked to have seen it stretched to maybe a 12 issue arc with much more elaboration. I don't think its proper to fit any Apocalypse story into 5 or 6 issues.
Some parts were overlooked... i.e. the development of his horseman and what happened afterward (i.e. Polaris, who we're just finding out about now. Gambit and Sunfire were left in limbo, etc), and SINISTER CAME BACK YAY!!
It seemed like Milligan was leaving things open for future exploration, but he's off the title so hopefully someone else will pick up the threads.
IN all, a decent story. Liked some things, was a big disappointed in some others, but I didn't outwardly HATE anything. Nor would I refer to it as a pile.
Decent read.

HATER! Give it up, loco, you just wanted to hate this story from the beginning.
You also hate Heroes, so I think that discounts whatever opinions you have.
BTW, I finally got to Savage Brothers #2. It wasn't the greatest thing ever, but you know what, it was a fun zombie read.

Show how you suck at listening, I don't hate HEROES, I just think they did something VERY predictable. And if it's true, THEN I'll never watch it again. Either way, u are bias on this book cause you LOVE Milligan
