I'm a total and complete idiot for 80's music! I grew up in the 70's and 80's, but the 80's is my era. I loved all music types but new wave was my absolute favorite followed closely by metal and early rap/hip-hop. I was all over the place musically, but it was kind of hard not to be. I Melt With You by Modern English is a song that instantly transports me back to '83, there are way too many songs to choose from, but this one song really captures "my" 80's.

Agreed on Belinda. Especially after she went solo, lost weight and had some work done. "Mad about You" era. Unfortunately, she hasn't aged well.

The Bangles were pretty hot too.

Love the Go-Go's and The Bangles saw them both live back in the 80's. I saw the GG's on their '84 tour and the Bangles in '87 great shows, hot ladies!

I remember back in the early 80s you couldnt go ANYWHERE in NYC without hearing this beat on the streets with all the breakdancers. The rest of the country hadnt caught on to hip-hop yet.

I used to visit NYC quite a bit in the 80's and used to love watching them in Times Square or in the subway or at the park or almost anywhere I would go!
