They should offer Hogarth separately as well, at an edition size of the original, that way, they can make more money their end for the same piece of polystone they've already made, and keeps the first wave of collector's happy with the extra option of Hogarth.

What irks the ell out of me is that back when the Maquette was shown at SDCC a SS rep said they would add something for scale. They didn't. (since a switch on the base doesn't qualify)

The Cel Shaded Variant in itself I have no problem with but for SS to finally add something that shows scale (and for it to be as vitally important to the piece as Hogarth is) is indeed a d**k move.

Tempted to use my PCS credit to try to get this. I didn't get the original as I already have Mondo's cell shaded figure, but this statue looks way better than the first release.

I have to agree with this. Hogarth seems more like a necessity when it comes to the Iron Giant. Seems a bit unfair for the original buyers not to get Hogarth with theirs.

hah! Brad Bird will hand deliver all 100 variants before Sh!tShow offers Hogarth separately to us original owners.

Boy I'd be pretty peeved if I ordered the first one. Hogarth and the paint job look more in line with the animation. Doubt I'll get this with personal funds being what they are. Its sure to cost way more than the $700 original.

To add something like that to a variant.....crappy. Sideshow just seems to have a knack for making poor decisions.

I'll say at minimum a $100 bump to $800. This is tempting but many statues ahead on my list.
